Chinchilla Community Commerce & Industry Inc. (CCCI) wants to challenge our local businesses who are able, to find new and inventive ways to support their local community. Once your business has identified how you can meet this challenge the CCCI wants to work with you to recognize what you are doing for the local community to help inspire others. We love to see new and original ideas, but for those who like, we can offer some ready-made suggestions.

Right now it’s more important than ever to support our local community, there is a key role business can play, leading by example with local buy and local support. Ideas from some of our Chinchilla businesses already include;

1.

CHINCHILLA VOUCHERS

Chinchilla Community Commerce & Industry Inc. have been speaking with our members and are pleased to be able to offer ‘Chinchilla vouchers’’ which can be purchased from the CCCI and spent with more than 25 of our member’s businesses around Chinchilla. Some members are already awarding these to their staff on a regular basis to keep staff morale up and reward the effort their workforce has made to manage the COVID-19 risk while supporting other local businesses.

2.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT

Businesses can contact a local organisation or club and offer to help them (you could service their aircon while their clubhouse is closed, fabricate some extra spectator seating, handrails for stairs or a disability access ramp or offer admin support for a grant application)

Can we help you with your idea? Would you like to purchase Chinchilla Vouchers or have your Community Spirit Challenge covered by The Chinchilla News? Contact the CCCI;
